Philosophy: Thesis of the Human Perception of Perfection

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a cloud? Puffy, white, easily swayed, naive. Or how about a tree that sees the days go by without moving, steadily flowing in the wind like a graceful ballerina, but strong and sturdy like a super hero. Or even a rock. That's something you'll never get through to unless you break it forcefully. Stubborn, angry, and resentful. What about....have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a picture? Painted, created, designed, masterfully made to your creator's delight. Just how he wanted you to be. Fitted with your own frame to accentuate your simplistic and majestic beauty. Every brushstroke, every perfection, every mistake....painstakingly preserved through time behind a glass. Can you imagine the painter's joy as he carefully moved his brush? And as he watched his own hands make a masterpiece for everyone to see years to come. When he put another color or another shade to make you the painting that you are.
How about....have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a flower? I know I have. Your graced with doubtless beauty. But when the time wears on, your blossom begins to fade and then somehow, you're unwanted by the very ones who picked you from your roots. When you realize your fate, you also realize it's too late to start afresh. You had been given one chance, one blossom and now you can't change the course of time. I've often thought about what it would be like to be a lot of things. The truth is that though you can be what you want to be, but you can't change your brushstrokes. You can't change your mistakes or your perfections. I imagine that a lot of paintings think they would like to do that if they could. But the major gliche in that is that they can't. And the truth is that every painting is perfect no matter how many "mistakes" the painter made. From your little girl's crayon drawing of you to a Michelangelo. It doesn't change anything. We still return to the base concept that perfection is not in the standard, but in the quality. Nobody even knows if perfection is attainable.
So, for example, if you were a cloud and your neighbor is a tree, then you are a cloud and your neighbor is a tree. You're a cloud because that's who you are. And let your neighbor be a tree. I cannot think of a cloud trying to be a tree and vice versa. That would be havoc speaking. You can try to be a tree, but that doesn't mean you will be you. And when you try to be someone you aren't, your chances of attaining perfection just dropped to zero. Because when your not doing what you do best, your quality is average. You may meet up to a standard, but your quality is the focus of human nature. You see, human nature is based on two things: past and future. The choices you are making today will affect your future and the choices you made yesterday make your past.
Here's another example: let's say you were born with a learning disability. How would that affect you as a person? It would put you in a different school, different social group, possibly a different world not to mention a lot of things that learning disorders bring. As the word states, disorder or disability basically mean that there is an imperfection in your brain, thus the coined term learning disorder. This would, by standard of human capabilities and cognitive functions, make you a liability. Right? Not so. Just because you are reasonably incapable of doing what most other people do, that still does not affect who you are inside. That is what we call quality. Just because your brain is imperfect, your quality is higher. Therefore, all humans lack in something and excel in another. That is the law of the human perception of perfection: standard vs. quality.
If this isn't making any sense, let me put it this way. Perfection is not attainable according to human nature by standard because humans by standard are imperfect. But it is only attainable through perfect quality because that is the one thing people are actually good at. And that's being who they are; not ignoring their brushstrokes, their colors, and their shades. That is your quality. And if every painting weren't a masterpiece, then why would people hang them on the wall?

Again, sorry for any typos, errors, and/or mistakes in this monologue. Hope you enjoyed.

Greetings to all readers. Here's a story that might capture your interest. It was pulled from am old Bible story and retold. I hope you enjoy.

The Prayer of Habakkuk
A cricket chirped. An owl hooted. Only the nocturnal creatures moved about in the hiding cover of the night. Darkness encased the land like snug cloak. The air was crisp and clear. Stars overhead shone down upon the sleeping nation and the moon stared down on it with a critical yet watchful eye. A gentle breeze rustled the trees whispering to each other private secrets.
No one stirred. Judah was wrapped in the warm embrace of bed; unconscious of the world bustling around it with activity. All was still in the houses; except one. A small, almost hut-like home with the shutters closed and the door shut tightly. Inside the small abode a man lay tossing and turning, mumbling in his troubled sleep. He had the look about him of a troubled man. One who is given a load that he cannot cast off easily. He turned again onto his side with a weary groan. Somewhere, a wolf howled to the silver man in the moon; almost seeming to want to charm it with a romantic serenade. The man in the bed suddenly gave a startled cry and sat up in bed, his eyes wide; inhaling and exhaling in quick, short breaths. He shivered even though his home was warm. Although he threw off the cover, a cold sweat covered his face and a chill seeped into his bones.
Some unseen force like a horrible dream or a great vision had awakened him. Not the wolf. He could feel that something was wrong. Outside, the wind blew eerily around the little dwelling. He felt cold again and hugged the bed sheets close. Somewhat assured that all was well, he lay down again with a sigh. A moment he sprang out of bed. Hastily slipping on his sandals, he snatched up a long, narrow piece of cloth and wrapped it around his waist in the dark. He fumbled for a candle to light. Finding one, he moved to the fire. He set the bright candle on the mantle and reached for his coat. The night's cold air was penetrating into his little home.
Huddling next to the friendly fire, he stared emptily ahead him, seeing nothing but void. In his eye's mind he saw nothing. An owl hooted again next to one of the closed windows of his house. The man stirred and moved closer to the warm fire. He looked around the dimly lit room knowing that sleep would not return to him again. There was something he must do first.
He stood purposefully and blew out the candle. Reaching for a cloak, he pulled it around his shoulders and opened the door, hesitating for only a moment. Nothing stirred. He stepped out and shut the door behind him. He silently hurried down a well trod path through the little town lit by the shining orb above him in the sky.
The man followed the trail until he came to a cliff. He stood there, breathing in cool, refreshing sea air. Down below, the waves lapped gentle at the shore. Here and there he could see minute dots on the far surface of the water. Certainly not an uncommon sight, for the little town was a fishing community and sold fish for their daily bread. The man sat down on a nearby rock, thinking.
Then he pulled the cloak over his head slowly and knelt heavily in the rocky dirt. He bowed his head reverently and lowered his eyes. A few murmured words of prayer escaped his lips and floated into the night. Suddenly, a great light exploded in the heavens, illuminating the world around the man like a giant torch and filling the night air with a holy warmth. It was a light that only he could see, for the fishermen in the distance did not even stir. guard's He jumped back startled at this wonderful phenomenon. He raised a hand to shade his eyes from the burst of brilliance. A voice came from the center of the light.
“Speak, my servant, for thy God hears.” It sounded like a boom that had distinguishable words in it. The man kept his head bowed meekly in awe of the voice in the sky. He swallowed in fear and trembling of the God with whom he was dealing with. Then he began, haltingly.
“O Lord, I have heard your speech, and was afraid: O Lord,” He paused remembering the vision that had waked him in the middle of the night and prompted him to come here to pray. “revive thy works in the midst of the years; and in the midst of the years make known; that in wrath, remember mercy.” The fierce light waned thinner as the man spoke. He took courage and started again freely.
“I saw the tents of Cusham in affliction; and the land of Midian did tremble. Was the Lord displeased against the rivers? Was thine anger against the rivers? Was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation? Thy bow was made quite bare, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word.” The man paused pensively; then began with conviction.
“Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers. The mountains saw thee and they trembled: the overflowing of water passed by: the deep uttered his voice and lifted up his hands on high. The sun and the moon stood still in their habitation at the light of thine arrows and at the shining of thy glittering spear. Thou didst march through the land with indignation; thou didst thresh the heathen in anger.
Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for the salvation of thine anointed; thou woundest the head out of the house of the wicked by discovering the foundation unto thy neck.” The man dissertation came to a halt, his eyes glassy. He bowed himself more closely to the ground in awe of the terrible power of his God.
“Thou didst strike through with his own staves the head of his villages: they came out as a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was as to devour the poor secretly. Thou didst walk through the sea with thine horses; through the heap of the great waters.
When I heard, my belly trembles; my lips quivered at thine voice: rottenness entered into my bones and I trembled in myself that I might rest in the day of trouble: when Chaldea cometh up unto the people; he will invade them with his troops.
And, although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines;” He spoke slowly now, as under great pressure; his voice broken. “The labor of the olives shall fail and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold and there shall be no herd in the stalls. Yet, I will rejoice in thee, Lord; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.” The man stopped and glanced around. The light had disappeared and he was alone again in the dark. He looked up into the heavens seeing nothing but luminous stars. Inspired, he shouted, “Behold, the Lord God is my strength and he will make my feet like hinds' feet. And he will make me to walk upon mine high places.”
He gazed up at the majestic sky, enchanted. After a long moment, he tore away his attention from the firmament to the shining surface of the sea that stretched out below him. He rose to his feet for a better view. The fishermen and their boats drifted along with the waves unaware of the awesome sight above the cliff in the starry, twinkling sky and the transformed man that stood there observing them with a hawk's eye.
The man smiled contentedly and yawned, realizing that he was sleepy again. With a last glance at the silent, winking heavens, the man called Habakkuk which means 'Embracer' turned his back to the peaceful scene and wearily made his way back through the moonlit trail leading him back home.

Congratulations to all Americans who won their independence on this date...well, I'm back to share yet another piece of information that you may or may not be aware of. Fashion. Have you ever worn a hairstyle that really looked bad or like you had seen the devil kissing your sister? How about have you ever worn a your hair a certain way that you fantastically fabulous even if you didn't use any mousse or hair products? Well, just like everyone has a unique fingerprint...everyone has a unique face shape too...which can be categorized into nine different shapes. (This also applies to men. ) Here's an article I found in my many internet trolling days....

Face Shape Examples
What’s your face shape? When achieving your ultimate look, pageant hair is perhaps the most important aspect of a finished look. A simple black gown and silver earrings can be considered boring, but an elegant chingnon or layered curls can potentially make you a perfect 10. Your hairstyle can break an entire performance if not done correctly. But how do you know if you’re choosing the right pageant hairstyle based on your facial structure?

What’s Your Face Shape

The first step in finding your perfect pageant hairstyle is understanding which pageant hairstyles work for which face shapes. Here are 6 basic face shapes:
Oval Face Shape - The characteristics of this shape are slightly narrow at the jawline and at the temples with a round-ish hairline. The great thing about having an oval face shape is that you can pretty much carry any hairstyle. Most models have oval face shapes because of the versatility.
Do: Style your pageant hair away from your face.
Don’t: Wear heavy “forward” pageant hairstyles. No bangs or anything that will hide your features.
Rectangular Face Shape- Long and slender. Forehead and area below cheekbones are the same width. Sometimes called “oblong”, rectangular face shapes look best with short to medium lengths. Chances are, if you sport long hair it’s probably not doing you a favor, however style options like buns and ponytails are chic. Middle parts are also great for rectangular faces.
Do: Consider layers, especially around your face. Also, make sure to add volume!
Don’t: Wear your hair long. That lengthens the face  you really don’t need that.
Round Face Shape- This face shape is fuller with a found hairline. A lot of people would characterize this as a “baby face”. Pageant hairstyles that are fuller at the crown really help to balance this out. Much like a modern bob or short hair that’s layered at the top. If you do something like a ponytail make sure you it’s not a slick one.
Do: Choose shorter or layered styles that are cut close to your face. This will make your face appear longer and thinner.
Don’t: Wear middle parts. They will only add to the fullness.
Square Face Shape- If you have a strong jawline as well as a strong hairline, you probably have a square shaped face. They key to balancing this striking face shape out would be to soften the hair. Wavy or curly hair cut in layers and styled around the face will give you a balanced look, as opposed to a bone straight blunt cut, which will be too severe.
Do: Add height around the crown of your head. Also, aim for rounder haircuts. Try keeping the length short to medium, especially around the face.
Don’t: Wear straight bangs or middle parts, which are a bit severe.
Heart Face Shape- Heart shaped faces are wider and the forehead and temples with a narrow and delicate chin. If you have a heart shaped face, it’s important for you to keep your hair chin length or longer. Styles like longer bobs look amazing on people with heart shaped faces. The best part is that people with heart shaped faces tend to have great cheek bones, so you’ll want to show those off!
Do: Wear side parts, bangs, or swept forward styles.
Don’t: Wear styles that are heavier at the top because that will emphasize your wide forehead instead of balancing it out.
Triangular Face Shape- The opposite of the heart shape, with a broader chin and a narrow forehead. You’ll want to lean toward hairstyles that are fuller at the top and thinner or tapered at the bottom. This will help attract attention to your triangular features as well as balance them out.
Do: Try shag haircuts and off-center parts.
Don’t: Wear longer hairstyles because this will emphasize the lower part of your jaw which is big.

Face Shape Possibilities

Also keep in mind that there are a number of  in between face shapes such as oblong, oval, round, rectangular, square, triangular, diamond, inverted triangle, and heart.  As you can see the possibilities are endless! Hope this takes you steps closer to discovering what pageant hairstyles work best for you and your face shape!

Haircuts for the different Face shapes

An oval face form gives you the opportunity to carry practically each possible hairstyle from the long hairstyles to the medium long hairstyles to the short hairstyles. Now you should think still of the condition of your hair. Then you naturally still consider which activities you follow whether you operate much sport and you attend to which work whether it long hair disturb or whether they bind them better together with such activities. If your face form is rectangular or oblong, your best choice would be short hairstyles or middle hairstyles. Bangs gives your face a softer and easier appearance. A round face should carry short hairstyles, which are combed of the face back away, with much volume on the Top of the face. Short hair-styles or middle hair-styles should square face forms carry and should no straight long hair-styles carry. Women with a heart face should carry hair-styles, which are either chin length, or long hair-styles. Short hair-styles should be avoided.
If you have a
triangular face, this is the exact opposite of the heart form face. They should carry short hair-styles. The Diamond form face is similar to the oval. They know short haircuts, middle haircuts and long haircuts carry those absolutely wonderful to out-look.
Each woman has the desire, to look wonderful each day.
If you begin now to look for the perfect hair-cut or hairstyle which correspond to your characteristics first will have to decide you, which form has your face, the kind of the hair that to have and naturally your own singular personality.

Well' that about wraps that up. Hope you enjoyed this and once again, sorry for any mistakes, errors, and/or typos. 'Till next time....

Well, I'm new to this. So here is a picture of my family.
David, Dad, Mom, Lucky Me, Jesse, and Becky

It was freezing and raining that day. I'm surprised the pictures turned out so well. But without further ado, here's a introduction into one of my interests: psychology/ temperaments

This is what most logicians would call a coordinate diagram. What this diagram does is give on a second time limit the information you need to know at a glance.

 Here's how it works:

Extroverted Sensing – (SP – Artisan; SJ – Guardian)
Introverted Sensing – (SP; SJ)
Extroverted Intuition – (NF – Idealist; NT – Rationalist)
Introverted Intuition – (NF; NT)
___________________________________________________________________

Each person has a primary and a secondary temperament. The letters of their preference (whether Artisan, Guardian, Idealist, or Rationalist) to a tertiary tendency to be and act a certain way. Though the primary and the tertiary may agree, it is only a tendency and thus it does not have to be in accord with the primary temperament. Also, according to the percentages of the primary and the secondary (taking note of the tertiary), the chance that a fourth temperament and/or preference/ tendency will be exhibited is very slim. It is possible to learn certain traits from other and opposite temperaments that is uncharacteristic to the natural tendency of the primary temperament but they are not to be confused with the actual temperament and/or preference and the tertiary tendency. Usually each temperament (Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholy, or Phlegmatic) will have a four letter sequence that coordinates with one of the four preferences (Artisan, Guardian, Idealist, or Rationalist); that is what is called a tendency.
e.g.

The primary temperament is exhibited more than the secondary while the secondary is stronger still than the tertiary (tendencies).

Let's put it all together. I'm sure you've observed all the traits just described at one time or another in others and in yourself. Well, that's temperament. Now scientists have discovered that there are three things that make a person who he is without bias. That is: genetic factors, environmental factors, and spiritual factors. In other words, you can look like your parents, act like your parents, but there's always going to be some or a big difference between an offspring and its parents. Let me expand a little on the genetic factors. Genetics is comprised of the study of genes which is deoxyribonucleic acid commonly known as DNA. Your DNA contains the blueprints for you physical attributes (e.g. hair color, ethnicity, eye color, etc.). Every cell in your body contains DNA in its nucleus and is constructed of certain amino acids guanine, thymine, adenine, and cytosine on a backbone of proteins; ergo the name deoxyribonucleic acid.
Long before Gregor Mendall even conceived the idea of genes, there was a doctor named Hippocrates. He was one of the first to suggest the idea of temperaments. His theory was that the body is made up of four humors or fluids: blood, yellow bile, black bile, and phlegm. When a person had too much or to little of one or the other, his humor was revealed; thus, his temperament. When he became sick, it was caused by an imbalance of humors. That is where the superstition of bleeding the illness out of a person emerged. (Which we all know never worked) Although this theory was at first accepted, we now know that Hippocrates's idea was incorrect.
Now as time as gone on in the field of biology and genetics, pioneers of the of this world began to question Hippocrates's idea for validity and accuracy. Low and behold, it was a correct assumption that temperament did indeed exist in the body. But where? Well, recent studies have shown that the body does have humors; in the form of chemicals and hormones. These four hormones dopamine, testosterone, serotonin, and estrogen are found in the glands located in the center house of the brain. These glands secrete the chemicals into the brain and the body. This confirmed the age old theory by 50% and added a new perspective. Temperament is not only genetic but also influenced by environmental and spiritual factors. DNA carries certain information in its blueprints as to your parent's chemical balances in their bodies at the time of conception and pass that blueprint on to you. As a child, you have what we call a 'predisposition' for certain traits and tendencies. As you grow thoughts, emotional, environmental and spiritual factors begin to trigger those glands (That is why you can have a quiet baby that grows up to be quite the boss and vise versa.)  and as time wears on the balances or 'humors' in your body start to change. In turn that triggers more thoughts and behavior changes. Yet another reason for the dramatic transition of adolescents.
By the time you are at the end of the 'teen' years, your temperament will usually have settled. 'Which is which?' you might ask. Well, let's start with dopamine: a chemical located and released in the adrenal glands into the cerebrum. It is induced by music; too much of it causes the death of neurotransmitters in the brain. It is also known as an epinephrine that acts like adrenaline which safely increases strength and endurance as well as short-term memory loss, stress relief, curiosity, and elevated emotions. That is why athletes listen to music during workouts. It is the Artisan or Sanguine.
Next would be testosterone. Also a chemical, it is located in the reproductive system by both male and female and is what gives men manly attributes. It is released into the brain but takes a slightly different turn making its way to the pituitary gland as well. It is induced by long periods of negative emotions and stress. Its imbalance increases aggression, competitiveness, strength, and tactile intelligence. Drug forms are sometimes taken by athletes for the effects that this hormone has; though, its side - effects are probably a greater cost. Mostly found in men, some women high in testosterone may posses a lower voice and other qualities like aggression. This is the Guardian or Choleric group.
Serotonin is located in the nervous system. It serves as a vasoconsrictor and regulates mood, sleep, apettite. It also suppresses aggression (does not eliminate aggression) and cognitive functions include memory and learning; it can be called the opposite of dopamine in both function and nature. The imbalance of this chemical can be induced by repetitive actions such as checking the door several times before going to bed, checking your suitcase several times before a trip, etc. People with this temperament are often gentle and genial. Also, the more serotonin released in the body, the more it reproduces. Serotonin is the Idealist or Melancholy temperament.
Lastly, testosterone's perfect opposite: estrogen aka the female hormone. Found in the reproduction system of both men and women, estrogen is one of the only hormones that is not as harmful if imbalanced; in contrast, people with low estrogen levels often contract OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder). It is released into the hypothalamus (regulates hunger, thirst, sleep, and other functions) that is located in the center of the brain behind the frontal lobe and beside the pituitary gland in front of the cerebellum. Known to increase positive feelings, imagination, reasoning, gentleness, and web-thinking known as logic. It is the most intelligent of all types that is known for its deceptive and clever nature. Estrogen is the Rationalist or the Phlegmatic type.
Well, now that that's been said, what can we deduce from this? That all temperaments can be found in both genders. When the balances of the body during the adolescent years are changing, the ill-effects are most pronounced and as I stated before, the chemicals balance after about 5 to 6 years for most teenagers. But don't believe it's just hormones that do the job: genes have a little more to say than just that. If you know a bit about biology you will know that sometimes during conception the DNA of the parents reproductive cells undergo a radical inversion. That is, scientifically, genetic mutation. Does this change your chance of having a similar temperament as your parents? Yes, about 50% of the 80% similarity chance. But it doesn't change the other two factors. (Note: This doesn't mean that all outgoing parents with a quiet child mean he/she is genetically mutated. The environmental factor can induce one of two things: either submission or rebellion. Rebellion cuts 50% to 25%)
Therefore, assuming that I, for example, am genetically mutated and removed from my home, how are my chances for similarity to my parents? About 10%. But that still leaves one factor. Spiritual. That is were the person's choices come in and it is the only factor that cannot be externally manipulated and controlled. Then, I can assume that because of the nature of temperaments, any combination of factors, chemicals, and set temperament can be made. The groups are merely a guideline. Everyone is different. And that is only a tiny section of psychology and the inner workings of the psyche.
